ABBA ARE BACK!<br/><br/>Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid return with:<br/><br/>ABBA VOYAGE<br/> <br/>A revolutionary concert, 40 years in the making, <br/>and a brand new studio album Voyage<br/><br/>Thursday 2nd September - ABBA, one of the most successful pop groups of all time, have today announced that, for the first time in 40 years they are back, with a revolutionary new concert that will see Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid performing digitally with a live 10-piece band, in a purpose-built arena in London from 27th May 2022, and a brand new studio album.<br/><br/>The digital versions of ABBA have been created following weeks and months of motion-capture and performance techniques with the four band members and an 850-strong team from Industrial Light & Magic, the company founded by George Lucas, in what is the company's first foray into music.<br/><br/>Now, an incredible 40 years since their last studio album The Visitors, ABBA have not only recorded two new songs, 'I Still Have Faith In You' and 'Don't Shut Me Down', that will both feature in the concert, but they have recorded and produced an entire new album. Recorded together at Benny's studio Riksmixningsverket in Stockholm, Voyage will be released worldwide on 5th November on Universal Music Group.<br/><br/>ABBA Voyage will open 27th May 2022 at the ABBA Arena, a state-of-the-art 3,000 capacity arena located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Albin Lee Meldau och Arvid Nero har varit artistkollegor, låtskrivarkompisar och vänner sedan tonåren. Förra året föddes idén att tillsammans tonsätta svensk poesi - en idé som nu blivit verklighet. Den 14:e november släpps albumet "Min vän och jag", men redan nu finns ett första smakprov i form av singeln "Barfotabarn" ute att lyssna på. <br/>"Vi valde Nils Ferlins 'Barfotabarn' från 1933 som vår första singel - en dikt som, trots att den skrevs för över 90 år sedan, känns smärtsamt aktuell. Världen skakar, och än idag är det barnen som får bära konsekvenserna av de vuxnas beslut." <br/> <br/>Det kommande albumet är en hyllning till den svenska poesins kraft och i stället för att fokusera på en enskild poet har Albin och Arvid valt ut dikter som berört dem personligen. <br/>"När vi letade dikter till den nya skivan slog det oss hur tidlös riktigt bra poesi är. Trots att många av texterna skrevs för decennier - ibland över hundra år - sedan, speglar de vår samtid med en nästan obehaglig precision. Det är både fascinerande och oroande att vi fortfarande brottas med samma frågor: orättvisor, fattigdom, psykisk ohälsa, krig och våld." <br/><br/>Skivan är inspelad och producerad av Peter Kvint, en återkommande samarbetspartner till både Albin och Arvid, vilket ger albumet en varm och organisk ljudbild där texterna får stå i centrum. <br/>"Min vän och jag" är ett album där två av Sveriges mest uttrycksfulla röster möts i ett gemensamt utforskande av poesins kraft och musikens förmåga att bära ord genom tid och rum.
